11 Reasons Why 2007 Will Be The Year For Plus Size Fashion

Continuing with the results of the prediction I made back in December that there are 11 reasons why 2007 will be the year for plus size fashion. There has been a lot to happen so far this year so I thought it would be fun to go over recap some of the cool things that have happened so far.

The most obvious reason that plus size fashion will grow next year will be that just like all the merchants that brought there businesses to the internet in 2006 there will be even more doing so in 2007.
According to the National Institutes of Health, the average woman is 5′4″ and wears a size 14. These figures are for the US only.
Men, especially big and tall men are paying more attention to there wardrobe.
The combined worth of plus size/big and tall spending in 2006 was $76 billion dollars. In 2007 that number will rise.
Celebrities like Jennifer Hudson, Mo’Nique, and Queen Latifah are showing that big woman can look sexy.

Joy Nash took the plus size world and the anti-fat world by storm with her Fat Rant video.
High profile designers used more plus size models during Milan Fashion Week.
The demand for clothes has created a bigger demand for plus size models.
Mo’Nique’s F.A.T. Chance season 3. The light is bright all over the plus size world as a result of this show.
Plus size women and big and tall men are simply tired of being pushed to the side.
